| News Archive May 19, 2005 Final planning and preparation work for the next six holes at the Circleville Park Disc Golf Course is underway. Thanks to all of you that have supported our new course and the park in general. With that support, Patton Township was able to win a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to upgrade amenities at the park and fund the installation of the remainder of the disc golf course. Representative Lynn Herman recently had a news release regarding the grant and the disc golf course at Circleville Park. If you're interested in sponsoring any of the last six pole-holes or helping our club activities at Circleville Park, please contact Micah Willy. By the way, the 2005 PDGA Professional World Championships are in Allentown, PA at the end of July this year. If you want more information or would like to volunteer, visit the official website. August 29, 2004 The demonstration course at Circleville Park has been getting a lot of usage and positive remarks all summer. After you've played our course, please take some time to fill out our online survey, or fill out a card at the park. We need your help and information to document the usage and strong support of disc golf to get approval for further development of disc golf at Circleville Park. We'd also like to here what you think and how to improve upon what we already have. Tell all of your friends and get out there and have some fun. June 9, 2004 All of the heavy construction was finished a few weeks ago and we are currently finishing up placing signs and getting ready for the dedication of Circleville Park's new features. Patton Township is planning a big event for the community to come out and see what they have put into their destination park and are featuring the new demonstration course. The Happy Valley Disc Golf Club is happy to be on hand and help show off the course to new and experienced players. Light refreshments will be provided as well as scorecards for your round of disc golf. Bring friends and your frisbees! Soon, the concrete will be poured and the baskets will be set. Watch this site for an announcement indicating that it will be ready for play. We'll also post a course map and other info such as lengths, par, and how to get to the park.   
April 20, 2004 We're proud to announce that construction of the Circleville Park Disc Golf Course is going to commence in the next few weeks. On January 20, 2004, the Patton Township Recreation Advisory Committee approved the installation of three holes at the new park on Circleville Road as a proof of concept offering. Usage information will be collected over summer and fall of 2004 and positive reactions will open the door for future additions to the course.
